Kusuma Trust to recognise high performing Gibraltarian students with Excellence Prize.

For over 10 years the Kusuma Trust have recognised and rewarded high performing students in Gibraltar and have given more than £875,000 to Gibraltarian students since their launch in 2008, originally called the ‘Scholarship Scheme’.

Each year they award a series of Excellence Prizes to those who perform exceptionally well at A-Level or undergraduate level, and as a result have obtained a place at a leading university.

The prize is an incentive for high achieving students to pursue their chosen subject and have the best possible opportunities to study at the best universities.

This year they will once again be awarding prizes of £3,000 in subjects such as science, technology, engineering, maths, the humanities, arts and sports.

Applicants must meet the following criteria: a minimum of three A grades at A-level, an offer from an academic institution which is regarded as excellent in the chosen field of study and a track record of community or voluntary work.

The application process is open until Friday, September 3 and applications should be submitted to info@kusumatrust.gi via the application form which can be downloaded from www.kusumatrust.gi.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview later in the year. Depending on government guidance this may be in person in their London offices (travel expenses will be reimbursed) or via an online video link.

For more information or to set up an interview contact Angela Almeida, Country Manager Cover, Kusuma Trust Gibraltar on +350 5600 1847 or info@kusumatrust.gi.
