Cathal Yeats appointed Assistant Commissioner of the RGP

Superintendent Cathal Yeats has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner of the Royal Gibraltar Police by the Governor of Gibraltar, Sir David Steel.

This appointment comes as Richard Ullger was appointed as Commissioner of Police on Thursday.

Sir David congratulated Mr Yeats on a much-deserved recognition of his long and exemplary service in the Royal Gibraltar Police.

In a statement from the RGP, Mr Ullger also extended his best wishes to Mr Yeats on his appointment.

Mr Ullger said he is looking forward to working with him to drive forward the change management programme within the RGP, in order to implement Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services’ recommendations and deliver the best policing service to the people of Gibraltar.
