Emma Duarte wins Gibraltar Spring Festival Logo competition

Emma Duarte scooped the top prize at this year’s Gibraltar Spring Festival Logo competition with her Rock-inspired design.
Ms Duarte was presented with her award on Tuesday for her design which features the Rock of Gibraltar with a selection of flowers.
She received a cash prize of £500, and the logo will be displayed in all printed and marketing material produced under the 2021 Spring Festival umbrella.
With 141 entries and the high standard of the entries received, the panel decided to grant a further nine ‘highly commended’ awards.
‘Highly commended’ awards were given to adult entries Jaakko Tikkanen, Darion Figueredo, Natasha Cottrell and Caroline Buttigieg.
Westside Comprehensive School students Yasser Haberland and Alicia Capurro also received a ‘highly commended’ award, as did Jacelynn Lane from Bayside Comprehensive School.
‘Highly commended’ awards were also given to St Bernard’s Middle School pupils Beau Lily Reyes and Lily Jade Sawyer-Viner.
