Family of missing businessman make emotional appeal

The children of missing businessman Andy Beckwith have posted an emotional appeal on social media vowing not to rest until he is home safe and sound.

Mr Beckwith, who is 55 years old, has been missing since Monday morning when he left his apartment in Europlaza and headed to work. But he failed to arrive at the office.

Police launched an appeal for information but yesterday said there had been no developments in the case as they continue to make inquiries.

Mr Beckwith is well known in both Gibraltar and Sotogrande and police have and continue to liase with their Spanish counterparts.

A Facebook page called ‘Find Andy’ was set up by his family and yesterday his children wrote: “I hope wherever you are you see this page, the kind words people say and the enormous amount of love and respect people have for you.”

“There is a long queue of people who want to shake your hand and welcome you back. There are even more people who want to give you a hug and tell you how much you are loved.”

“And then there is us, your family who wait with open arms and hopeful hearts that you will come home to us soon.”

“We are and always have been Team Beckwith and whilst we are a man down, we will not rest until we see you safe and sound at home.”

Anyone who may have seen Mr Beckwith, or have any information regarding his disappearance is asked to contact the Duty Officer at New Mole House police station on telephone number 20072500.
