GHA invites applications for BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) Degree Programme

The Gibraltar Health Authority (GHA), working in partnership with St George’s University of London and Kingston University London, is to offer another Gibraltar based BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) Degree.

The Degree programme, which will commence in September 2019, is a full time three year programme.

From September 2020 the BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing, will, be fully delivered by the Gibraltar University.

Professor Ian Peate, Head of the GHA’s School of Health Studies: “This is an exciting and challenging nurse education programme that is delivered to the highest professional standards. External assessment is undertaken by a UK university, ensuring healthcare education that is on a par with international standards.”

The GHA’s Director of Nursing Services, Sandie Gracia, commented: “This is a practice-related course with an academic underpinning, aimed at those who wish to develop their knowledge, skills and personal qualities required to make an effective contribution to those people receiving care and support in Gibraltar. The degree meets local needs and reflects our dynamic and forward thinking strategy for health care provision.”

The School of Health Studies is inviting applications from persons who are interested in undertaking a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing based in Gibraltar.

Interested persons should contact the GHA School of Health Studies (http://shs.gha.gi). Prospective students will be offered the chance to meet with members of staff and students to discuss the programme contents and requirements and to experience some of the teaching and learning resources that are used on the BSc (Hons) programmes.
