Gibraltar ladies on fire as they book place Team

Gibraltar’s men’s tennis was to face defeat at the hands of the Isle of Man in the round of 16. Once again falling at the same hurdle in the men’s event the Isle of Man beat Gibraltar 3-0. The Isle of Man now making it through to the semi finals after also beating Aland 2-1. They face Jersey in the semi finals.
In women’s tennis it was a very different story as Gibraltar booked itself a place in the finals. A 3-0 win against the Isle of Wight in the morning saw them reach the semi finals. Here they beat Guernsey 3-0.
The most interest was sparked by the presence of Amanda Carreras who won both her matches. The first with a 6-0, 6-0. The second with a 6-2, 6-0. Gibraltar’s other top ladies also won their matches Lindsay winning 6-4,6-1 in the semis and earlier having won 6-2, 6-0. In the doubles Ewa Bielanowicz and Bianca Seromenho Won 2  -  0 against Francesca Blest and Millie Coombes.
