GPA Coaches and Range Officer Certification

This weekend the Gibraltar Pistol Association saw the visit of Paul Richardson, UK Regional Coach from the South East Regional Pistol Club.
“The purpose of this visit was to conduct a Range Conducting Officer Course together with certification for our Club Instructors. An intense but highly enjoyable two day course, covering range safety, training and shooting techniques,”explained GPA officials.
“I really enjoyed working with the GPA, they are enthusiastic and want to develop shooting sports in Gibraltar with a focus on youth development” said Paul, “I look forward to working closely with them in the near future and intend to bring teams to Gibraltar to train and compete regularly”.

A GPA spokesman further added, “Apart from the required mandatory certifications, a secondary and important purpose for these is the upcoming junior shooters training project which is currently being given form. The aim of this project is to introduce and develop these young athletes to this exciting sport. The future of Gibraltar pistol shooting begins now.”
