New Deputy Governor takes up his post today
Career diplomat Nick Pyle takes up his post of Deputy Governor in the Office of the Governor today.
Mr Pyle, who is married with three children, takes over the role from Alison MacMillan who has come to the end of her term in the post.
His last assignment was as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana and UK Representative to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) from 2013-2016.
Speaking before his arrival in Gibraltar over the weekend, Mr Pyle said: “I am delighted to be taking up the position of Deputy Governor and to working with His Excellency to further develop the excellent modern relationship between Britain and Gibraltar.”
“On a personal note I am very much looking forward to living in Gibraltar and to getting to know the local community”.
