Unite welcome climate emergency motion
Unite the Union welcomes the “Climate Emergency Motion” which was unanimously passed through Parliament on May 3.
“Unite as a responsible Union and in its duties to the environmental issues which affect our community, embarks itself into this initiative which is being championed by Young People around the world including Gibraltar,” said a statement from the Union.
It then called on its local sister Unions and all NGOs to also make “themselves stake holders in supporting this great Young People’s initiative in pressuring leaders to take urgent action to protect the planet for future generations.”
Unite will soon be organising an exhibition, debates and workshops as part of its commitment. When announced it will be open to members and to the community at large.
