12m steps as Randall takes on final stretch
Mark Randall has almost reached his final destination having taken 12 million steps to reach Cyprus. Tomorrow he flies to Tel Aviv to meet his challenge and continue his final steps to Jerusalem.
“I will step onto Israel - the Holy land. A few more days walking and I shall be there - I will reach Jerusalem at last. Gibraltar – Santiago de Compostela – Rome – Jerusalem,” he says confident he will achieve his aim.
For a number of days he has been resting in Cyrpus and recovering as well as taking time to reflect on his journey.
“My feet hurt, my knees ache, my back and neck are in constant pain,” he adds but he is more than ever determined to push on to the end and reach Jerusalem, in his charity walk challenge.
Having overcome the many difficulties along the way, Mark had to give up walking and continue his challenge by bicycle.
