CAB and other agencies offer ‘stay safe’ advice for the elderly

Gibraltar Citizens Advice Bureau was yesterday joined by other local agencies to launch the ‘Staying safe with Advice’ campaign primarily aimed at the elderly. CAB launched a wallet sized card with a list of contacts and emergency numbers together with representatives from the RGP, City Fire Brigade, HM Customs, GHA, Environmental Agency, Aquagib and other agencies highlighting and offering information on wide ranging safety issues.

Minister Dr John Cortes said this approach highlighted the way in which the various agencies were working together for the benefit of the community.

“The information provided on the new cards will be very useful for our elderly citizens and the advice has been given by so many different agencies and this is very important in order to make the community feel safe,” he said.
