Bosom Buddies cheque presentation

Bosom Buddies donated over £5,000 raised during their annual fashion show to seven charities.

At a presentation held at the Eliott O’Callaghan Hotel, event organiser Sonia Golt presented the cheques to the Calpe House Trust, Cancer Relief Gibraltar, Cancer Research, Breast Cancer Support Gibraltar, Prostate Cancer Support, Research Into Childhood Cancer and the GBC Open Day.

“First of all we are thanking everybody that took part in the show because we need a lot of awareness and we need to raise funds,” Ms Golt said. “I want to thank everyone who has participated and helped us.”

When asked why Bosom Buddies donates money to other charities when they themselves are a charity, Ms Golt said she thinks there should be more unity between charities.

“This year we did it specifically for the raising of funds for the whole community,” Ms Golt said.

She added that Bosom Buddies is pleased with the amount raised and thanks the local community for their support.
