Cancer Research Relay Launch

The first teams have already registered for the 2017 Relay For Life Gibraltar. Organisers, Cancer Research UK - Gibraltar Branch, want to double the amount raised last year at this 24 hour event as the charity celebrates its 50^th anniversary in 2017. The relay will be held on the 23 and 24 September at the Victoria Stadium.

A the launch Nicky Vinales, said both he and his team were calling on people to register early for this event and were hoping to attract 60 teams of 15 members each from groups, associations, businesses and family groups to the event.

“Last year we all helped to raise over £42,000, next year we want to surpass this and have set our target at £80,000. Next year there is no registration fee but we are calling on everyone to start raising funds as from now to help us reach our target in our 50^th year,” he said.
