Charity skydive for Calpe House

A charity skydive for the Calpe House Appeal saw two members of staff from Gibraltar House in London and Miss Gibraltar 2016 Kayley Mifsud parachute off an airplane.

Miss Mifsud, Faye Burfoot and Edwina O’Mahony reached speeds of around 130mph as they parachuted from a distance of 15,000 feet.

The three ladies travelled to Seville last Saturday and had only met weeks ago when Ms Burfoot and Ms O’Mahony visited Gibraltar.

“I met Faye and Edwina at the Calpe House Gala a few weeks ago and they invited me to join them on the parachute jump,” Miss Mifsud said. “It was something I’d always wanted to do so I booked up for it the very next day. Some friends sent me stories of ‘parachute jumps that went wrong’ but, even then, I wasn’t really scared.”
