Eight years on, police still search for Chaima Slim

Tomorrow is the eighth anniversary of Chaima Slim’s disappearance.

Chaima, who is now 27 years of age, was last seen at around midnight on Sunday 10th July 2008, as she walked across the frontier into Spain.

The Royal Gibraltar Police continue to carry out enquiries into her possible whereabouts and periodically review the investigation.

Any new potential lines of enquiry will be pursued.

Chaima continues to be listed worldwide as a Missing Person on Interpol’s databases. This in effect means that the RGP will be alerted in the event of any information coming to light anywhere in the world in connection with her disappearance.

“Unfortunately, no new information has been forthcoming during the past year,” the RGP said.

“The RGP continue to appeal to the general public for any information concerning Chaima’s whereabouts.”

“Any person wishing to provide any information relating to her disappearance or whereabouts should contact the RGP Duty Officer at Police Headquarters, on +350 200 72500.

Alternatively, it is possible to call Women in Need on Telephone +350 200 42581, where a voicemail service is provided daily between 1500hrs and 0800hrs.
