Feliciano headlines Gibraltar Jazz Festival

Jose Feliciano will headline this year’s Gibraltar Jazz Festival. Feliciano who embarked on a world and European tour in July this year will also be performing several dates in Spain before his concert in Gibraltar in St Michael’s Cave. On his website which announced the concert on the Rock says “Jose and his band are excited to perform in the magnificent Cathedral Cave of St. Michael, the venue for the Gibraltar Jazz Festival.”

The concert which will feature his eight piece band will perform at St Michael’s Cave on Friday 25 November. The announcement was made tonight at the Gibraltar Music Festival.

Feliciano has recorded nearly 70 albums in his impressive career. His name is synonymous with an international presence that has influenced popular music for more than two generations. Feliciano now 70 is recognised as the first Latin Artist to cross over into the English music market, opening the doors for other artists who now play an important role in the American music industry.

He has been acclaimed by critics around the world as one of greatest living guitarists. His catalogue of song is long including the chart topping Light My Fire, Che Sara the 1971 San Remo Music Festival entry that became a mega-success for him and the Christmas song Feliz Navidad. His other well known songs include Rain, Chico and the Man, California Dreamin, Ay Cariño, Cuando El Amor Se Acaba and Let’s Find Each Other Tonight.
