Gibraltar FA sponsors Special Olympics coaches
The Gibraltar FA presented a cheque to Special Olympics Gibraltar in order to fund the participation of their football coaches at the 13th Special Olympics European Football Conference 11-12 of this month in Antwerp, Belgium.
This forms part of the on going relationship with The Special Olympics and Gibraltar FA. The presentation was made to Director of Special Olympics Annie Risso and coach Rafael Celecia by Gibraltar FA Secretary General Secretary Dennis Beiso and Grassroots Manager Leslie Asquez.
Mr Beiso said that Gibraltar Special Olympics formed an integral part of Gibraltar’s community and they wanted to ensure that they were on hand to assist wherever they could.
“We are committed to working long term with the Special Olympics Committee and very shortly will be revealing plans together,” he said.
Annie Risso meanwhile said she was delighted to have received the cheque.
“It is great that you (The Gibraltar FA) are on board and the money is brilliant as it helps ensure they long term future of Special Olympics football in Gibraltar,” she said.
