Interactive Bayside lessons boost student interest in ‘World Book Day’

Over 200 students took part in Bayside school’s ‘World Book Day’ where several departments came together to prepare exciting and engaging activities for Year Eight students.

Colin Skinner, Bayside Headmaster, said that the project, in its first year, adds an extra dimension to the students’ education and draws them into reading more books.

“These activities were all designed to underpin our literacy strategy and encourage the students’ love for reading,” he said.

“I am sure that this will have an impact on their general academic performance because good levels of literacy are fundamental to academic achievement.”
