Kids get a taste for water polo

Teams of children splashed and swam around the GASA swimming pool in a friendly match of water polo.

The week-long water polo classes formed part of the GSLA Summer Sports and Leisure programme.

Over 20 children attended the classes and practiced their throwing skills in the water with a few balls hitting the net. The children celebrated with each goal and grew their talents day-by-day in this water sport not often seen locally.

Water polo coach David Perez has been teaching the children aged eight to 12 how to play the sport.

“The children had a lot fun and we prepared them during the whole week,” Mr Perez said at the end of successful session.
