Local artist gifts hand painted fan to Princess of Morocco

Local artist Mark Baglietto recently hand painted and gifted a fan to Princess Lalla Malika Alaoui of Morocco.

Mr Baglietto was contacted by the Gibraltar Morocco Business Association and Strait of Gibraltar Association to paint a fan for the Princess.

“I made a study depicting the relationship between the Association and Morocco,” Mr Baglietto said.

“I painted flowers, keys for Gibraltar and the Morocco flag, flowers roses and Hibiscus for good luck, a green rose for hope, a white for peace and a red rose for love and stars for the Morocco flag.”

Mr Baglietto added the flowers were inspired by the Donabo Gardens and said he felt blessed and honoured to have been asked to paint for the Princess.
