Nautilus Project closes second year of education outreach

The Nautilus Project ends its second full academic voluntary science outreach this week.

Over 2,000 pupils have experienced the different marine presentations and fieldtrips the project offer throughout the year.

The #MedOceanHero programme that was launched in September saw 132 students receive their awards at their respective school assemblies for their outstanding participation in The Great Gibraltar Beach Cleans.

St Bernard’s Middle School had the highest number of pupils involved.

The very heart of the project - "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn" - will resume come September will innovative presentations creating both marine awareness and knowledge on Gibraltar’s coastline to ensure that the Bay of Gibraltar has the best chance possible.
