Over 400 online petition signatures to ‘save Rosia Bay’
An online petition to ‘save Rosia Bay’ accumulated over 400 signatures in less than 24 hours, with local residents opposing a new development.
The petition created by Emma Labrador on change.org opposes the proposed construction of a building including residential properties and an indoor water park at Rosia Bay.
“The Bay needs taking care of, and beautifying, but not the construction of yet another oversized building with residential apartments,” Ms Labrador said.
“A simple restaurant with many parking spaces available for all to use is what Rosia Bay needs, like the Dolphin restaurant in Camp Bay, and what Gibraltarians will use.”
The petition said the construction of an “unnecessary” indoor water park will destroy the beauty of Rosia Bay with “yet another overdeveloped plot of land”.
