RGP salvage jetski in rough seas
The Royal Gibraltar Police managed to salvage a jetski that had fallen off a yacht just off Europa Point yesterday.
Officers came across the jetski whilst out on routine patrol of British Gibraltar waters and set to work recovering it.
Superintendent Cathal Yeats tweeted of the incident: “Out on patrol of BGTW with a Royal Gibraltar Police crew, we’ve come across a jetski which appears to have come off a yacht, trying to recover it in these seas not easy.”
“We’ve still got it hooked up and trying our best to get it back.”
Mr Yeats subsequently told the Chronicle that the yacht from which the vessel had fallen was making its way back to Gibraltar to collect it.
