Senior Gibraltar team drop in rankings whilst futsal makes headways

Gibraltar senior men’s national side saw a drop in its FIFA World Rankings falling to 203, just three above its lowest ever ranking. The latest updated FIFA World Rankings listings were published in April and has seen Gibraltar drop two further places after relegation into League D of the UEFA Nations League.
In the meantime Gibraltar’s futsal have seen some pathway being made within the sport with the FIFA Futsal rankings published and both the men and women’s team providing a respectable position considering the little exposure both have had in the international scene. The two sides only playing official competitions and some minor freindly matches.
The men’s futsal team is placed at 126 from 139 whilst the women’s team is ranked at 65 from 69.
