TNP set to campaign for a Plastic Free July

The Nautilus Project is encouraging all residents on the Rock to ditch plastic during the month of July.

“Plastic Free July is a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation that allows us to work towards our vision of seeing a world free of plastic waste,” said a statement from TNP.

“From humble beginnings in 2011, the award-winning Plastic Free July campaign is the result of years of hard work.”

The family of four, two adults and two children, began doing this in July 2017 and shared their first local event in July 2018.

They believe that Gibraltar has come on leaps and bounds since then but more work needs to be done.

“This year we encourage Gibraltar to join us again as we strive to give our future generations the best possible environment to inherit,” said the statement.

“Let's us join together and give the rest of the world a shining example of how our community cares, respects and works together to beat plastic pollution.”

“We encourage the community to commit to make a sustainable change a day for the whole month of July and share it with us on our event.”
