Visiting British troops will be conducting training exercises in Gibraltar over the next two weeks, HQ British Forces said on Monday.

The troops will be exercising in a number of areas, both on the MOD estate and in the wider Gibraltar community, and will be using drones to record exercise imagery.

In addition to daytime activity, a number of exercises will take place during the hours of darkness.

“Exercising troops will be in full uniform with weapons,” HQ British Forces said in a statement, urging the public not be alarmed.

“Blank firing will take place on and off the MOD estate.”

The exercises will run from November 2 to November 13.
