University seeks community feedback

The University of Gibraltar is bringing together a number of groups, organisations and individuals to help identify the needs in the community in order to assess what it can offer the various industries and groups.

One of the key advisory groups –  Tourism and Hospitality –  met recently and just last week a meeting of the Silver Advisory Group got together to finalise the details of an awareness morning which will be held this Wednesday at the Piazza.

The aim is to hand out a questionnaire aimed at the over 55’s who may be considering furthering their education and learning experiences.

The University needs to grow the number of degrees and the short courses it offers, said Vice Chancellor Daniella Tilbury.

“We want to do this with the help of Gibraltar,” she told the Chronicle.

“We need to make sure that every time we make an offering, that there is a market, there is an interest and that it is serving needs in our community particularly.”
