Youth Service Children’s Christmas Fun Day Success

After several weeks of planning and preparation the Youth Centre members, all involved in the Life Skills Project, successfully held a Children’s Christmas Fun day at the Youth Centre on Line Wall Road.

Children and families were welcomed with different activities being managed by young people, with the support of Youth Centre staff. Young people performed extremely well, demonstrating great skill and ability in customer services, team work and communication.

As well as a Santa appearance, activities on offer ranged from a Christmas themed puppet show, a Christmas photo-booth, bouncy castle, traditional children’s games and cupcake decorating. There was also a Christmas raffle and a ‘Name the Bear’ competition. Congratulations go to the bearer of ticket number 106.

The Youth Centre group and staff thanked all those who donated items for the raffle and cake stall. Funds raised will go towards the Youth Centre’s Life Skills project for youth club members aged 16+.

"Thank you to all those children and families that attended," the group said in a statement.

"The Youth Service staff would like to take the opportunity in thanking everyone a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2016."
