21 GUN SALUTE FOR CORONATION
A 21-Gun Salute was fired at midday yesterday marking the anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation in 1953. The Royal Gibraltar Regiment carried the Gun Salute at Grand Battery House with Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia as the Inspecting Officer. At Grand Battery House after the firing of the guns Dr Garcia said that an historian it had been a privilege for him to have been asked to be the inspecting officer yesterday.
