Police arrest man in harassment investigation

Police investigating allegations of harassment have arrested a Spanish man following a witness appeal last week.

The 26-year old man from La Linea voluntarily approached police after CCTV images of a male were released last Friday.

Officers wanted to talk to the man in the images in connection with their ongoing investigation.

The Spanish man was arrested on suspicion of intentional harassment causing alarm and distress.

He was interviewed and released on police bail while investigations continue.

Police thanked the community for cooperating in the investigation, "particularly on social media".
