Commendations after high-speed chase

Local law enforcement officers involved in a high speed chase were commended for their work earlier this week.

Commissioner of Police Eddie Yome and Collector of Customs John Rodriguez presented the commendations to PC’s Fendley, Lyons, Minter and Harrison, and SCO Lopez, ECO Cooper and Nuñez, and CO Bell and Rumbo.

The incident took place last year, where three police officers sustained injuries during a high speed vehicle pursuit.

The officers arrested the suspect and seized a substantial amount of tobacco.

The accused was jailed for two years and disqualified from driving for five years.
