A bumper 2024 calendar kicks off this Thursday

Gibraltar Cricket prepares for what it describes as a “bumper year” with this week seeing the European Cricket Network (ECN) T10 tournament in Gibraltar as from Thursday for ten days. This Gibraltar Cricket’s 3rd European Cricket Network T10 night series which has catapulted Gibraltar Cricket onto the European scene since settling into their new home at Europa Sports Complex.
“2024 is going to be a bumper year for cricket with ICC World Cup Qualifiers, visits from the Marylebone Cricket Club, The Army, Estonia Women and further ECN events planned alongside our packed domestic games,” said Gibraltar Cricket officials.
“It all starts with the T10 night series which returns for its third year to Gibraltar. Four teams will battle it out to become the ECN Gibraltar Night Series T10 champion at the Europa Point Sports Complex.
“The European Cricket Network (ECN) T10 tournament lands in Gibraltar on 18th January for 10 days of fast and furious 10 over cricket! Each T10 game lasts 1.5 hours and is full of action, get down to Europa to see big hits and wickets flying! The Pavilion bar will be open for drinks and snacks.
“The ECN will live stream this tournament across the globe to over 4 million viewers showcasing the talent that Gibraltar cricket has on offer plus scenes of our beautiful Rock will be transmitted into the homes of millions of cricket fans world-wide.
“Two T10 games will be played each evening at 18:45 and 20:30 from Thursday 18th to Saturday 27th January. The players from Tarik CC, Pirates CC, Sloggers CC and Rugby CC will all be looking forward to 10 days of adrenalin fuelled cricket. Pirates CC won the tournament last year in a thrilling final in the last two balls of the game, can they make it two-in-a-row?
“Finals day on Sunday 28th January is where the action really hots up. The four teams will play final eliminator games in the hope of grabbing the two slots in the Final game at 20:00 where our 2024 ECN Gibraltar Night Series champions will be crowned.”

All are invited to come down to Europa to watch this action-packed tournament, there’s free parking, entrance is free, and drinks and snacks will be served in the Pavilion bar in the West Stand.
