Basketball - Europa Valmar Reserves win Second Division

The possibility of GibYellow Beasts being king-makers became a reality when, after Europa Valmar Reserves (Ian Yeats 33, Pablo Postigo 17, Louis Dalmedo 14, Abdullah Santiago 14, George Alexe 11) duly dispatched Europa Valmar Fusion (Jack Possner-Kane 11, Marco O’Connor 10) by 89-51, thus requiring Lincoln Bayside Reserves to beat GibYellow Beasts to stay in the hunt for the title, the opposite happened. And it was a comfortable win for GYB, by 81-67, with David Connor 21, Roydon Reyes 20, Nathan Nanwani 13, J Aparisi 12, leading their scoring, with Kaylan Balloqui 26, Jamie Mesilio 12 and Marek Litwa 10 best for the losers.
The winners medals will be presented before EVR’s forthcoming KO Cup tie.
