Bayside achievements highlighted in open day

Bayside School held an Open Day for parents to view the work the students have completed IN the past academic year. The Open Day underscored all the students’ efforts in all areas of education including drama, science, maths, physical education, ICT, art, food, design and technology, and music. Queues of parents waited outside Bayside doors at 9am to see the academic efforts.

The students sold baked treats and woodwork, performed plays, and held informational stalls about their efforts within the Young Enterprise competition.

The Cyber Centurions were present and the science department held various experiments for onlookers.

Bayside Drama Club performed an abridged version of MacBeth that included lightsabers and modern slang terms for an audience of parents.

Headmaster Colin Skinner told the Chronicle the Open Day was a great send off just weeks before he retires this year.
