Dog park ‘not yet ready’

The new dog park is not yet complete and works to improve it will be carried out over the course of this year, Minister for the Environment Dr John Cortes has told Parliament.

The discussion, during a question and answer session of parliament on Wednesday, was prompted by new GSD MP Lawrence Llamas who asked if the Government have any plans to review the design of the dog park.

He highlighted a number of “fundamental ingredients” that have been overlooked; such as the lack of fence or gate “which should be a priority”, no access to water, the surface was inadequate and there is a ‘no dogs allowed’ sign at the entrance to the park.
