DPC knocks back Dolphin project

Members of the Development and Planning Commission unanimously refused planning permission yesterday for a new development at Camp Bay that seeks to demolish the existing Dolphin restaurant and construct a new building for apartments and restaurants.

The application for 13 apartments and 20 parking spaces was discussed at the monthly meeting of the DPC where both an objector and the applicant addressed the Commission.

The objector had concerns regarding the use of public space in Gibraltar without thinking about the long term potential negative effects highlighting how open flat areas should be protected from development.
