DPC set for virtual meeting on YouTube
This morning the members of the Development and Planning Commission will meet virtually for the second time since the Covid-19 pandemic, with the meeting been transmitted live to the public via the Government’s YouTube channel.
Among the topics being discussed will be the consideration of revised proposals to provide parking within the proposed development at 73/77 Prince Edwards Road.
The original application is for the refurbishment and alterations including the provision of parking at ground floor level, and it is this element that will be debated this morning.
The DPC will also consider an application by Wine Vault Ltd at 94 Devil’s Tower Road for the proposed construction of a two-storey protective canopy with an adjoining ‘link tunnel’.
The aim is to provide sheltered pedestrian access from Devil’s Tower Road to the entrance of the inner rock tunnels where the wine vaults are located.
The owners of 77 Main Street will also have their application for a proposed conversion of loft space, extension and the refurbishment of the building discussed this morning.
Permission for a special vehicle operation car showroom for Land Rover and Jaguar at the ex-petrol station and garage at 20 Line Wall Road is also up in front of the members, as is the proposed construction of a single storey bin collection point for Europarking on Europort Avenue.
