Dramatic footage of humpback whale breaching off Europa Point

A humpback whale was spotted breaching in British Gibraltar territorial waters early this morning, in an unusual occurrence in local waters three miles south of Europa Point.
The whale was spotted by HM Customs officers on HMC Seeker on a routine patrol.
Customs Officer Richard Lavagna snapped a photo of the whale and took video footage of it during breach which happened at 9am.
"We were on a routine patrol of BGTW when we spotted some splashes in the distance which we initially thought was a RHIB but it turned out to be a whale," said Mr Lavagna.
