Former England captain to hold legends v corporates tournament on the Rock
Former England captain Mark Wright will hold a corporate five-a-side football tournament on May 20 at the Victoria Stadium featuring football legends from Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Manchester United.
Neville Southall, 92 caps for Wales and ex-Everton; David May, ex-Blackburn and Manchester United; Michael Thomas, two caps for England and ex-Arsenal; Peter Reid, former Manchester City Manager and 13 caps for England, form the impressive list of football legends.
Mr Wright, who has 45 caps for England, said in a press conference at the Sunborn Hotel yesterday that the event will create a huge camaraderie between players and legends.
“The legends mentor or play in your team and the winning team can play in the final against the legends,” he said.
“So far the legends have not been beaten, so we place that challenge on Gibraltar.”
