GFA signs coaching partnership with Wales
The Gibraltar Football Association has signed a major coaching partnership with the Football Association of Wales.
The GFA predicts the project will have major positive consequences for football coaching and coaches in Gibraltar across the whole of the coaching spectrum.
The agreement spans a total of five years and follows Gibraltar’s admission as a signatory to the UEFA Coaching Convention in 2015. The GFA will shoulder the financial responsibility for the deal with funding support from UEFA.
The partnership was announced at a press conference ahead of last night’s match against Latvia at the Victoria Stadium. The deal was announced by GFA General Secretary Dennis Beiso together with National Team Head Coach Jeff Woods and Carl Darlington; a representative from the Welsh Football Trust (WFT).
