GGCA ‘acted unconstitutionally’ in Tampin redundancy, tribunal hears

The Gibraltar General and Clerical Association is facing a claim for unfair dismissal from its former general secretary Michael Tampin.

At an opening session of an industrial tribunal yesterday, lawyers for Mr Tampin argued that the white collar union had “acted unconstitutionally” in terminating his employment.

The GGCA counters that Mr Tampin’s role is now being handled by members as part of a restructure of the union and that it had not “behaved badly”.
