Gib Netball win 2nd Div Gold in U17 European Championship

Gibraltar has won the second division in the European Netball Under 17 Championship tournament, known as the Challenge section, in an astounding 36-31 victory in the last quarter against closest opponents Switzerland. Played in Gibraltar this afternoon at the Tercentenary Hall. In one of the most exciting matches of the tournament Gibraltar came from behind to take the final quarter to the roar of the over 300 local fans present.
Tense moments were lived as Gibraltar matched Switzerland ball to ball in the first three quarters.
The final quarter Gibraltar overcame their nerves and led by 9 points. Eventually winning 36-31.
