GIBEX tests chain of command
Gibraltar tested its response to terrorist threats, serious road traffic collisions and threats to national security this week as the Rock’s essential services were mobilised in a collaborative effort to test their responses to such incidents.
The annual GIBEX exercise took on a slightly different set of objectives this year as the organisers set out to test the command chain all the way up to the Governor and the Chief Minister.
At a debriefing session held at New Mole House police station representatives from the essential services talked reporters through each of the exercises they had practiced during the course of the week.
