Govt clarifies position on affordable housing
The Gibraltar Government said it can “categorically confirm” that the developments Hassan Centenary Terraces and Bob Peliza Mews are “moving ahead and will shortly be brought to a satisfactory conclusion.”
It stated that negotiations for both developments were now in an advanced state and it continues to push to get the best possible deal for the taxpayer.
The clarification comes as GSD Opposition member Roy Clinton asked for an update on where the Government was with these affordable housing schemes.
Mr Clinton had questioned why the government had not commented on Hassan Centenary Terraces during an interview with GBC in which it offered an update on Bob Peliza Mews.
“The reason was that GBC did not ask for them,” No 6 Convent Place said.
“They only asked questions about Bob Peliza Mews.”
