Govt reviews access at Bayside and Westside
The Gibraltar Government is reviewing security arrangements at its two comprehensive schools having acknowledged there is a “deficiency” whereby currently any member of the public can walk in unchallenged.
The issue was flagged up in Parliament last week as Independent MP Marlene Hassan Nahon tabled a question in which she asked the Government if it was aware of the situation.
Education Minister, Dr John Cortes, replied: “There is indeed a deficiency, which needs to and is being addressed.”
“This said it is a longstanding problem that existed even before this Government was elected.”
Mrs Hassan Nahon said the issue was primarily one of security.
