The Housing Department carried out 24 investigations into suspected unlawful occupation of Gibraltar Government rental homes in the last two years.
Since January 2018 the Department has pursued three court orders for evicting illegal tenants, Housing Minister Steven Linares told MPs during the first meeting of the 14th Gibraltar Parliament this week.
A further 16 persons were asked to leave the property and fully complied with these instructions and five were deemed as lawful occupation.
There is currently one case of unlawful occupation which the Housing Department is dealing with, Mr Linares told the House.
