Local poets set for GMF performance

Three local poets will be performing at the Gibraltar Music Festival Acoustic Stage this weekend.

Rebecca Faller, Gabriel Moreno and Jonathan Teuma will perform their poetry on both days of the festival weekend.

Mr Teuma is a poet and spoken word artist who is characterised by his use of the ‘Yanito’ dialect. He uses humour and irony within his commentaries of politics and social injustice.

Mrs Faller’s sing-song poems focus on political satire, feminism and the trials of life in Gibraltar. Her poems are mainly comedic and tongue-in-cheek but with the odd tear-jerker thrown in.

Mr Moreno’s work is abstract and romantic and has been described as a cross between Leonard Cohen and Lorca. He is a published poet and a songwriter.

The trio will be preforming this Saturday and Sunday as from 5pm on the Acoustic Stage.
