The Rotary Club of Gibraltar relocates meetings to the Eliott Hotel

The Rotary Club of Gibraltar has announced a significant transition as it moves its meeting venue from the Rock Hotel to the Eliott Hotel.

This decision marks the end of a 58-year association with the Rock Hotel, signalling a new chapter in the Club's history.

President Lyana Armstrong-Emery expressed mixed emotions about the move, stating, "It is with great sadness that after 58 years, we bid farewell to the Rock Hotel.”

“However, we believe that relocating to a more central location at The Eliott will facilitate easier access for our members, particularly as our Club continues to grow with many new active members.”

“This change will also provide convenience for our more senior members."

The Rotary Club of Gibraltar acknowledged the invaluable support received from the owners of the Rock Hotel, the Gaggero family, throughout the years, which has enabled the Club to raise substantial funds and positively impact both local and international communities.

“Additionally, the Club extends appreciation to the dedicated management and staff of the Rock Hotel for their exceptional assistance and commitment over the years. Their efforts have played a pivotal role in the Club's endeavours and are sincerely acknowledged by the entire Rotary community,” said Ms Armstrong-Emery.

“The Rotary Club of Gibraltar looks forward to embracing this new chapter at The Eliott Hotel and remains steadfast in its commitment to service above self.”

The Rotary Club meets on Tuesdays at 7.30pm. For more information email rotarygib.secretary@gmail.com
