Two swimmers in this evenings finals

Colin Bensadon was to drop out of one race but not before he ensured himself a place in tonight final of the the 400m Individual medley. With a fifth placed finish with a time of 4:42.12 Bensadon secured his finals place.
John Paul Balloqui was also to book his place finishing 8th in his heat with a time of 58.64 in the 100m butterfly.
His colleague Matt Sagittarius just missing out with a time of 59.12 coming in ninth.
In the women’s races Ariana Carroll and Katie Tunbridge had to compete against a strong field finishing 17 and 18th in the 100m backstroke.
The men’s 50m breaststroke saw Zack Kaemmerlen come in 12th with a time of 31.81, Mathew Lopez 17th with a time of 33.46 both missing out.in the 50m women’s butterfly Cristina Linares finished 20th with a time of 32.01, with Rachel Sanders finishing 23rd with a time of 33.13.
Elijah Cruz was to miss out on a place in the finals of the 200m freestyle with a time of 1:56.77 finishing 9th.
Prior to Gibraltar’s races there was a minor incident in which a swimmer collapsed by the poolside requiring immediate attention from paramedics at the scene.
