University formally establishes partnerships with local institutions

The University of Gibraltar has unveiled five associate campuses and research institutes in the ‘most exciting news’ since the university’s establishment according to Vice Chancellor Professor Daniella Tilbury.

The associate campuses and research institutes are part of the university’s aim to become an internationally recognised centre of research excellence. The university has been working towards this goal for two years.

“I am very excited,” Professor Tilbury said at a press conference yesterday at the university.

“This is going to be one of the most exciting days we have had no far.”

“It is a day that is marked by opportunity and partnership.”

Professor Tilbury hopes the new developments will not only help to embed the university in Europa Point but across the life and reach of Gibraltar. She added that the associate campuses are well placed and located in and around town, and the presence of the university will now be felt across the Rock.
